Nuclear Regulatory Commission Compliance

We know quality is a must no matter which industry you’re in, but it’s even more paramount when you’re testing and analyzing equipment and components for nuclear power generators.

With audited and accepted quality assurance programs in place, we perform safety-related testing and analysis for clients and all manners of process and flow conditions. Our work meets Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)  Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 21 (10 CFR 21) and Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 50, Appendix B (10 CFR 50, Appendix B).

Alden has a particularly long and in-depth history with the qualification of nuclear power plant ECCS strainers which ensure long term cooling for the plant after a loss of coolant accident (LOCA). Alden has tested CCI, PCI, Enercon, and GE strainer types, and successfully qualified them to various debris loads under the latest approved NRC guidance.
