Developing our staff to be industry leaders who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty.

Mark Graeser, P.E.

Director of Structural Engineering Services

Mark Graeser, Director of Structural Engineering Services, joined Alden in 2013, where he has worked to significantly expand our design and engineering capabilities for hydraulic structures, including construction support. His specific project experience includes hydropower facilities, dam appurtenances, pump stations, water treatment facilities, and heavily loaded structures. He also specializes in the evaluation, retrofit, rehabilitation, and modernization of existing structures.

Before coming to Alden, Mark knew and respected Alden staff from his days at AECOM. Mark says, “I greatly appreciate the flexibility and support I’ve been given since joining a company that values its employees the way Alden does. It has been rewarding to see the growth of our structural engineering and design group and watching our unique collection of expertise come together to help clients solve complex problems.”

Mark says he knew at the age of 14 he wanted to become a Structural Engineer. With his career goals firmly set, he earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Iowa, and a M.S. in Structural Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He is also a Professional Engineer in the states of California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Maine, Oregon, Utah and Washington. When he’s not acting as a lead structural engineer on a project, Mark takes full advantage of all the things that Colorado has to offer—camping, hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, and concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheater to name a few. You can also find him coaching and proudly watching his two sons play baseball and soccer.
