INTERNSHIP & CO-OP PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Alden regularly employs undergraduate and graduate students for semester-long co-op and summer internships at our Holden, MA and Redmond, WA facilities, with potential for full time employment. Applicants are assigned to a department within Alden and  given engineering and technical tasks based on the current departmental work load. Cross-functional assignments (across departments at Alden) are also possible. Beyond assisting Alden engineers, biologists, and other staff members in the execution of their daily work, Alden interns may execute a small research project during their internship where they will have the opportunity  to offer  technical influence and work  independently. The project would be chosen from a set of intern research projects available in the host department. Alden has hosted interns  in their sophomore year, but more typically hosts rising juniors and seniors. The goal of the Alden internship program is to provide an enriching experience for the intern that ties the intern’s classroom teaching experience to the real world.

HOW TO APPLY

To apply, contact Alden’s Human Resources Department by sending an email to hr@aldenlab.com with your current resume and a letter of interest for the internship program including the department the candidate is interested in applying for. Applications/Resumes are typically reviewed 5 to 7 months prior to the program start (e.g., November – January for summer applicants), although late submittals may still be considered based on Alden’s workload.
